Commissioner Ross maintains that responding officials did not anything improper all over the Thursday arrest.
“They followed policy, they did what they were supposed to do, they were professional in all their dealings with these gentlemen, and instead they got the opposite back,” he stated. “I can say as an African American male, I’m very acutely aware of implicit bias. We are dedicated to truthful and impartial policing, and anything else not up to that may not be tolerated on this division.
